COURSE SUMMARY
The new challenges of our world require
training that is more adapted and in line with market needs. Regarding the needs of the
hydraulics and environment market, the least we can say is that the needs are
enormous given the current challenges of the world. To meet the needs of the
market for engineers specialized in hydraulics and the environment, special
emphasis must be placed on the training of these engineers. They will be responsible for the construction of
basic infrastructure in drinking water and sanitation networks, drinking water
treatment stations, seawater desalination and wastewater treatment, creation of
satellite towns. They will also have the
establishment of port infrastructure, dams, equipment of irrigated perimeters.
For the success of these projects,
the intervention of specialized engineers of very high level for the
elaboration of the specifications, the design, the evaluation of the costs, the
impact study, the follow-up and the control of the implementation, overall
socio-economic assessment is required. It
is for this reason that training to offer future engineers a solid and very
suitable training allowing them to meet all these welcome needs.
In the course this teaching section, students will have an idea of what water and environmental engineering is, of the disciplines that compose it, of the missions of the water and environmental engineer and will learn some related terminologies.
